The real numbers, by size
Three sizes cover most of what we build:
Small (24×12) — from $89,121. A compact gunite pool, simple shape, standard equipment, no spa, no deck.
Medium (30×14) — from $101,060. The most common build: a family-sized gunite pool. If you want one number to plan around, it’s this one.
Large (35×15 with an attached spa) — from $118,726. Room to swim, plus a spa.
Sales tax applies on top, and these are pool prices, not pool-plus-everything prices. Decking, hardscape, an outdoor kitchen, or a pergola are quoted separately.
What moves the price
Seven things decide where a pool lands in that range, roughly in order of how much they move it:
Size and depth. Gunite is priced by the square foot of shell and the yards of concrete, so a bigger or deeper pool costs more in a fairly straight line.
A spa. Adding an attached spa is the single biggest jump — it's a second vessel with its own plumbing, heater load, and finish.
Decking and coping. How much deck you pour, and whether it's broom-finish concrete, pavers, or stone, changes the number more than most people expect.
Equipment. A heater, automation, a salt system, and a variable-speed pump each add real cost — and each one you skip is a line you may want back later.
Water features and lighting. Sheer descents, bubblers, and color-changing LEDs are the finish work. Individually modest; together they add up.
Shape. Freeform and complex shapes take more steel, more shotcrete, and more finish labor than a rectangle.
Site conditions. Access for equipment, soil, drainage, and how far the pad is from power and water all show up in the price.
Why we publish this and most builders don't
Most pool builders won't put a number in writing until they've been to your house. We understand why — every yard is different — but it leaves you guessing about the only question that matters at the start: can I afford this? We'd rather you know the honest range before you call. The site visit still decides the final price. It just shouldn't be the first time you hear one.
Timeline and financing
Our standard build runs 8 to 12 weeks from contract to completion, depending on size and complexity, and we manage every phase so the schedule holds. We also handle the permits with the City of Lubbock.
